Notes on Washing: To extend the life of the garment and for best performance, close all zips including pocket zips. Use a small amount of non-scented LIQUID detergent and gentle wash at a temperature below 40º Celsius. DO NOT use powder detergents, fabric softener or chlorine bleach. Powder detergents include artificial scents, UV brighteners and abrasives that will reduce the life of the garment. Warm tumble dry, or line dry after washing.

just brilliant! fits two people perfectly and i love adding the shelter floor. easy and fast to put up and the bag and package that it comes in is so simple so much better than a bag that you stuff into!

The BEST ever shelter. Used in stormy nights, rain, winds and we both survived. Spacious for 1/2 or 3 people including packs. Used open end of shelter for cooking and sat on mattress at the back. Lots of room. I needed help putting up but can be done on your own. Always used on hikes in the ngahere with this shelter including alpine heights. Haven't upgraded yet as it's my go to all the time. No included pole for the front but you don't need one - use hiking pole, stick or tie to tree. Lightweight in my pack to carry. Wish the ground sheet was included or attached like a tent ground sheet. Did up grade to titanium pegs.

Fantastic tramping accommodation. Fast & easy to put up, heaps of room for pack & all gear, robust, secure in the wind, and lightweight. Seldom stay in huts anymore, prefer the SC Shelter. Love it.

It is very lightweight extremely tough and waterproof, does well on the high winds and has a lot of room for packs as well as all of your sleeping equipment.

I’ve used this shelter in high alpine and down in the thick scrub. Hardly noticeable on the pack or in the day pack and has stayed true through some pretty violent winds and it’s still soldiering on like it was band new. I did replace the pegs however for some stronger ones for a bit more bite in the rocks of Central Otago.

Great piece of kit. Take it on all my fly camping missions as well as a few heli-Sika fly in trips when I’ve wanted to get away from the hut and hunt the far reaches of a block at first light. Heaps of room for a big guy and all your gear. I’d recommend buying the Shelter Floor accessory too, as this gives you everything you need. Simple and quick to set up which helps at the end of a long walk, and quick to pull down when you want to get on the move early in the morning.
